Hi I want to set min date in my jQuery datepicker to (1999-10-25). So I tried the below code it&#39;s not working.

If I change the min year to above 2002 than it will work fine but if I specify min year less than 2002 (like above example 1999), it will show only up to 2002.&lt;br&gt;
I am using `jquery-1.7.1.min.js` and `jquery-ui-1.8.18.custom.min.js`.

I have a problem with the jQuery-UI datepicker, I have searched and searched but I didn&#39;t find the answer. I have the following code:

jQuery-UI datepicker default date

I am using the jQuery Datepicker widget with two input boxes, one for the **&quot;From&quot;** date and the second with the **&quot;To&quot;** date. I am using the [jQuery Datepicker functional demo][1] as a basis for getting the two input boxes to work with each other, but I need to be able to add these additional restrictions:

 1. Date range can be no earlier than
    01 December 2008 

 2. **&quot;To&quot;** date can be no
        later than today

 3. Once a **&quot;From&quot;** date
        is selected, the **&quot;To&quot;** date can only
        be within a range of 7 days after
        the **&quot;From&quot;** date

 4. If a **&quot;To&quot;** date is
        selected first, then the **&quot;From&quot;** date
        can only be within the range of 7
        days before the **&quot;To&quot;** date (with the
        limit of 01 December being the first
        selectable date)

I can&#39;t seem to get all of the above working together.

In summary, I would like to be able to select a range of up to 7 days between 01 December and today (I realise I am posting this on 1st December so will only get today for the moment).

I have a JS code in which when you change a field it calls a search routine. The problem is that I can&#39;t find any jQuery events that will fire when the Datepicker updates the input field.

For some reason, a change event is not called when Datepicker updates the field. When the calendar pops up it changes the focus so I can&#39;t use that either. Any ideas?

Today&#39;s date is nicely highlighted for the user when they bring up the calendar, but how do I get jQuery to pre-populate the textbox itself with today&#39;s date on page load, without the user doing anything?  99% of the time, the today&#39;s date default will be what they want.

The ajax toolkit calendar would be acceptable, if only it too would display Norwegian names.

How do I localize the jQuery UI Datepicker?

I am using the UI DatePicker from jQuery UI as the stand alone picker. I have this code:

```html
&lt;div id=&quot;datepicker&quot;&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
```

And the following JS:

$(&#39;#datepicker&#39;).datepicker();
```

When I try to return the value with this code:

```js
var date = $(&#39;#datepicker&#39;).datepicker(&#39;getDate&#39;);
```

I am returned this:

&lt;pre&gt;Tue Aug 25 2009 00:00:00 GMT+0100 (BST)&lt;/pre&gt;

Which is totally the wrong format. Is there a way I can get it returned in the format `DD-MM-YYYY`?

jQuery UI DatePicker - Change Date Format

Any idea how to get the DatePicker to appear at the end of the associated text box instead of directly below it? What tends to happen is that the text box is towards the bottom of the page and the DatePicker shifts up to account for it and totally covers the text box. If the user wants to type the date instead of pick it, they can&#39;t. I&#39;d rather have it appear just after the text box so it doesn&#39;t matter how it adjusts vertically.

Any idea how to control the positioning? I didn&#39;t see any settings for the widget, and I haven&#39;t had any luck tweaking the CSS settings, but I could easily be missing something.

_.clearDate() is a private method of the DatePicker object. You won&#39;t find it in the public API on jQuery UI&#39;s website, but it works like a charm.

I want to let users easily add and subtract dates using JavaScript in order to browse their entries by date.

The dates are in the format: &quot;mm/dd/yyyy&quot;.
